New Recreation Center To Open at 9th and G

A new recreation center for our area is under construction at 9th and G streets NE. The Sherwood Recreation center is scheduled to open March 31, 2003.

The large two-story center will have an indoor basketball court, an exercise room with lockers and showers, a community room for meetings, a computer room, a library and senior daycare.

The outdoor facilities will include another basketball court, a walking track, a play field, an exercise par course, tennis courts, picnic tables and a play area. §
