Sharon Cochran (1300 block of Emerald Street NE) says that in full bloom, the cherry blossom trees around the Jefferson Memorial are gorgeous, and not to be missed. The National Park Service forecast yesterday that the peak bloom (when 70% of the trees will be blooming) this year will be April 8-14. (Info: http://www.nps.gov/nacc/cherry/index.htm). § |
