E-mailed by ANC 6A03 Commissioner Cody Rice At the ANC 6A Economic Development and Zoning Committee meeting on Tuesday, Tomika Hughey, executive director of H Street Main Street, announced an effort to establish a weekend Farmers Market at the 600 block of H Street NE. The D.C. Office of Planning and H Street Main Street have been in discussions with "Fresh Farm Markets" to operate a market with fresh produce in a DC government-owned parking lot. The market would operate one day per week from June to November, either Saturday or Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. If Sunday is selected, it is more likely that the market could begin this summer.
