Please Call About 534 13th St. NE

The house next door to me, 534 13th St. NE, has been vacant for over five years. The yard always looks horrible, there is broken glass around the property, and behind the house there are numerous bottles of liquor and trash. A few people from the neighborhood have been calling 727-1000 to complain. If you would like to help us get this property fixed up again, please call the above number. Thanks!

I called 727-1000 on June 19 and was told that this type of call is handled by the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs housing inspectors, at 442-4610. I was transferred to that phone number, and I reported the weeds in front, the trash in back and a gutter falling from the roof. I was told that I should see a response within five to seven days. If I don't see anything by then, the lady said, I should call the inspection unit directly, at 645-8285.§
