NEW BIKE LANES PLANNED: Jim Sebastian (671-2331), the Bicycle Program manager for the District Department of Transportation, told Advisory Neighborhood Commission 6A in a letter this month that the city will create three five-foot wide bicycle lanes in the area the end of this summer: on C Street NE, between 6th and 15th Streets; on 14th Street NE, between Maryland Avenue and Potomac Avenue SE; and on 15th Street NE, between Maryland Avenue and Potomac Avenue SE. The bike lanes will be created by painting an additional white line between the parking stripe and the driving lane. §
