Sign Petition to Stop PSA Proposal!

Dear neighbors:

We need to act immediately if we want to stop the new Police Service Area (PSA) proposal, which will reassign the Corner Forum area to the very large PSA 103-running from 8th Street NE all the way to the east bank of the Anacostia River. This will affect all of us! We probably would have less police resources for our area.

Please act before it is too late! Based on what I heard at the ANC meeting on Thursday night on this subject, it appears that the Police Department will make a decision soon. If they have not heard from us, they may assume that we are not concerned.

There are two things that you can do to help:

1.Please sign the petition, at right, when I walk around the neighborhood this week.

If you contact me and tell me your name and address, I will try my best not to miss your house when I walk around the neighborhood to gather signatures. If you don't see me, please e-mail me at hagueew@yahoo.com or contact me through the Corner Forum, at 544-2447.

(Feel free to suggest changes to the letter, too. Better yet, if you want to walk one block with the petition, we can cover more ground).

2.In addition to signing the petition, it would also be extremely useful directly contact Anne Grant to let her know that you are concerned.

Ms. Grant is in charge of the new PSA plan. The more people that she hears from, the better. This will involve just a quick telephone call.
