Kingsman Was a Physician

In the last issue, Pat Harford, formerly of 1518 Isherwood St. NE, asked who Kingsman was.

From a D.C. Biographical of Schools...

Dr. Richard Kingsman was a physician; born at Louisville, Kentucy, on May 31, 1855.

His father was born in England and his mother in Ireland. His wife was Catherine Kingsman.

He was a member of the Board of Education from July 1, 1900, to June 30, 1906; a member of the public health committee of the Washington Board of Trade from 1903 to 1920; and a member of the Temple-Noyes Lodge F.A.A.M.

He died at Washington, D.C. Friday, Dec. 31, 1920. His interment was at Glenwood Cemetery, Washington, D.C. §
