POLICE: Burglars Entering Through Windows

1201 E St. NE was broken into around noon on Friday and jewelry stolen.

The person that did it got in through an open second-story window, and when the owner of the home spoke to the police later, she was told that there's a rash of these things happening.

Somebody's looking for open second-story windows, or first-floor windows for that matter, and if they can find a house with the windows open, they will attempt to gain entry through them.

So it would be good if a little bulletin or something was put in the Corner Forum about that. It's too bad the police didn't tell us about this at the last PSA meeting. §
