DCPS: Initial General Documents on the Proposed FY09 Budget

  • (Note: These two documents were obtained from Acting DC Attorney General Peter Nickles, after eight parents and teacher and neighbors sued Chancellor Rhee and Mayor Fenty, asking for budget information.) We are still expecting Chancellor Rhee to provide much more detail, as required by law.

From the Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization

The first four of these documents were provided in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. Here are the Office's response letters: Response 1 (128 kb pdf) and Response 2 (396 kb pdf).
Most of the following documents were obtained as a result of a Freedom of Information Act request (80 kb Word file) submitted on December 6, 2007. (NOTE: The government is refusing to release any e-mails or notes that would show how the school closing decisions were really made.)
